Tom Petreit, Director of Clinical Project Management, is QCHC’s longest-tenured corporate nurse, and has served a leading role in starting up most of QCHC’s jail medical units. As a key member of our corporate nursing team, Tom is responsible for the organization and implementation of starting the clinical aspects of new contracts with the assistance of key personnel. Tom also assists on QCHC’s Continuing Education and Training Programs. He helps develop educational materials and provides training for QCHC’s nurses, orients new employees, and conducts First Aid and CPR training for jail staff at QCHC’s sites. Tom is a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), and a Certified CPR Instructor with the American Heart Association.  He has over a decade of experience as a correctional nurse in both prison and jail settings.  Tom previously served for twelve years active duty as a Combat Medic/EMT/LPN in the United States Army where he attained the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB). He attended the Academy of Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas.
