JD CCHP – General Counsel and Director of Compliance

As QCHC Legal Counsel & Compliance Director, Christie Estes is our in-house attorney, providing legal advice and counsel to the company and its employees. She is responsible for training and compliance activities from a risk management and litigation avoidance perspective, including developing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance. Christie has been practicing law for thirteen years. Prior to joining QCHC, she practiced at Porterfield, Harper, Mills, Motlow & Ireland, P.A. in Birmingham for seven years. She has received an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest peer-review rating available and was selected as one of Alabama’s Rising Stars in Civil Defense Litigation (2015). She was recognized as a Top Female Lawyer by B-Metro Magazine for the past three years. She is a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC). Christie graduated from Samford University and the Cumberland School of Law, in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and is licensed in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
